Introduction: Please check out my FB page for reviews and pics! I am a fun, creative and responsive makeup artist. I do both traditional and modern styles as well as the ever popular vintage-glam look. I am calm, patient and looking to be an enjoyable part of your special event. I will work with you in a pre-event trial to ensure that you have exactly the look you want going into your day. I have done fitness competitions, weddings and little girls' glam squad birthday parties! I work with a number of hairstylists as well if you are looking for a one stop shop on your quote. I had my wedding makeup done by Alter Ego and thank goodness! I was going to try to do my own, but on the day, my hands were shaking so badly from nervousness, who knows how it would have come out. Murph was kind enough to do a few trials with me because I wasn't sure what I wanted and instead of pushing more makeup, as many wedding makeup artists do, she suggested a soft, pretty, natural look... and I actually looked like myself on my big day! Speaking of my big day, I was so pleased to have Alter Ego's makeup on, but it was Murph's calming presence and hilarious personality that really made my decision to hire her invaluable. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do package deals and specials for 5 or more people on spray tans. $30 for one or $25 each for parties of 5 or more- and again, I travel to you. $50 charge for anything beyond 50 miles from my house is my standard travel fee for makeup OR spray tans. Makeup pricing is commensurate with what the client needs. I do eyelashes, airbrush foundation and special event makeup. Typical pricing is $75 for bridal and $65 for special event. $40 for trial to cover makeup.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I am booked I like to have a phone call with my client and discuss what it is they are looking for and things they absolutely hate. I like to calm their nerves about any issues or questions they may have and then we schedule a trial. At the trial - which I schedule for a minimum of 90 minutes for makeup we will work out everything they are looking for and arrive at their perfect look for the big day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing freelance makeup for 3 years and I have been doing spray tanning for 2. I have done weddings, bachelorette parties, little princess glam parties and fitness figure body building competitions (stage makeup and spray tans).
