FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Classes range from $15 to $85/person based on the needs of the customer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each class, is tailored to the needs of the customer so I start by finding out what they need. I then integrate their needs into the curriculum of the class. For example, instead of using an AED trainer at my local school, we do a hands-on session with their own AED. We open expired pads so everyone knows that they look like, practice changing them out and turning on the machine to hear what it sounds like. ***We never practice with an actual AED past the point of turning it on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I teach CPR/First Aid on my days off from my full-time position as a Firefighter/Paramedic. I have been in the emergency services since 2006 and started teaching CPR in 2007. In addition, I have been assisting with practicals in classes ranging from Emergency Medical Responder to Paramedic level training since 2009 and co-taught my first Emergency Medical Responder course at the community college in 2016 as a lead instructor.
