FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My initial tuning fee is a FLAT RATE. Including a pitch raise if needed and full condition report on the whole piano including hammers, action, strings, soundboard and pinblock. Minor repairs are also included including most sticking keys and pedal adjustments. Parts or broken parts or large repairs are not included but a full estimate will be given in the condition report.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first tuning is the beginning of a relationship between you, the piano and me. My first appointment will be a bit longer than my 6 month tuning appointments. I'm going to try to get to know you as a musician and find out where you piano is currently in terms of tuning, regulation and condition. This will help me as I move forward over the years in tuning and caring for your piano. I'm going to help you love your piano more and more every year because I understand how the piano works, I understand, as a fellow musician, what you want from it and how to discuss that with you.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A lot of people can tune, BUT do you know how to regulate and voice my piano to make me love the way it plays and sounds?
