Thuan is a great personal trainer. I have been with him for about a year now. He was my 2nd personal trainer. I did feel it took about 4 sessions for me to feel comfortable and to make sure we were on the same page as my goals after switching up trainers. After that, it has been awesome. I saw the results I was looking for. I had to take a break from working out due to a lower back injury. Thuan was compassionate and understanding of the situation. He also was aware to take care in the workouts to ensure my safety. LA Fitness promoted him to a Master Trainer, which then cost me more $ to stay with Thuan. I did try a different trainer for 1 session. However, in the end, decided to pay up for the additional charge to stay with Thuan. I would highly recommend him as a personal trainer. He is awesome. I can't wait to see what this year holds.

In late summer of 2015, my personal trainer at LA Fitness left. I needed to find a new Master Trainer. I had observed Thuan while I was working with the other trainer and I liked the way he interacted with his clients. I decided to schedule an appointment with him to see if he would be a good "fit" for me. He introduced himself and was very nice. The first thing he did was have me do a few exercises so he could assess my body. He explained why he had me do it, to see any obvious weaknesses or imbalances. He then explained his philospohy and what he would expect from me in return as a client. This allowed me to better decide if he was a good fit for me. I have been taking personal training session with him since then & am completely pleased with my progress. His training methodolgy is very informative and detailed- He describes the exercises, what muscles they engage, and the benefits. He also gives you the "whole" body picture, for instance, how strengthening one area will affect/improve another area. He monitors your execution of the exercise & corrects you if you are performing it incorrectly, also stating how the incorrect actions can have negative effects . He really helps you understand the whole process. He is so supportive and is a very good motivator. He figures out a strategy for a client based on his initial analysis & discusses the basic goals. He continues to tweak it as he works with you, to make ensure that goals are met. Since he is also training to be a massage therapist, he brings a whole other aspect to the personal training- ability to give you therapeutic massage work for tight muscles for example. Again, he explains how the muscles are tied to each other & how doing certain massage techniques can elimnate pain as well as loosen up muscles that have become weak from tightness so that you can then do strength exercises that will build back up the weakened/imbalanced muscles and regain a better balanced body. I would recommend him to anyone!

Personal physical trainer. Very focused, attentive to detail and to my goals. Great motivator who really helped me to get on track and achieve more than I even imagined while keeping a safe environment. His focus on form and correct mechanics lays the foundation for a lot of success.
