I have an extremely shy daughter who didn't want graduation pictures. I had spoke to Chantell and explained this and we agreed that we wouldn't force the issue if she didn't want pictures. We met Chantell and after a few minutes, my daughter was talking and smiling as if I have never seen her. After my session and after our pictures were sent to us, I reviewed them (which were all extremely good) and selected about a dozen. Chantell captured qualities I hadn't noticed in my daughter -- her beautiful smile, her big brown eyes with lashes that could melt any heart, her hair naturally curled and highlighted by the sun. I could go on but I am just in awe! Chantell was priced very fairly compared to others, and the quality was just above the rest that I have used! I look at this pictures and almost cry as I can only hold on to these pictures and use them as a sweet memory of my daughter at 21 -- so happy, so free and so "her" because I chose the right Photographer! Thank you Chantell from Stills that Speak! You rock!

I have used "Stills that Speak" numerous times. I honestly would never use another photographer unless Chantell told me she could not accommodate my request. There are so many different reasons why I rely on her skills. I tell her she is like a magician, she can make "something" (spectacular) out of "nothing" any day of the week. Her ideas are diverse and brilliant, from poses to surroundings. She is just simply amazing. I appreciate her skills and her patience more than I can possibly communicate. As an added bonus she is profoundly funny, which always puts me totally at ease. We have been blessed for many years to have our home filled with special memories, thanks to "Stills that Speak." You will be blessed too.

Chantell is my go to photographer. She is always going above and beyond for photo shoots. My youngest is autistic and sometimes that can be challenging to get great pictures.

Happy to leave review about this amazing photographer. I did a shoot with Chantell last month. I was a little nervous but she put me at ease immediately with her sense of humor, comfortable style and all around being a professional. I would highly recommend her to family and friends…heck, any of you out there ISO of a business or social media Headshot! I am thrilled with my pics...needless to say I will use her again when I’m in need of an updated pic. If you want someone that’ll make you look great…she’s your gal!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most inquiries come via email. After answering initial questions I like to set up a time to speak either on the phone or in person so I have a clear idea of what your personal style is for photos. Plus it's an added bonus to 'meet' prior to the session date especially for little ones.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I honestly can't remember a time that I didn't have a camera in my hand...even as a child. Education is an ongoing process - I continue to take both photography and editing classes as there's always something new to learn. My client's satisfaction is extremely important to me.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
In second grade when Santa left a polaroid under the tree...how excited was I?!?
