Introduction: Pastry chef Loredana is professionally trained with over 5 years experience. She makes all her desserts from scratch and fresh to order. Her carefully crafted recipes are flavorful and fresh and does not use any mixes or prepackaged foods. Sustainability is important, so she tries to use as much fresh, local products as possible. Each item is made to order in a timely manner so you can enjoy them at their best quality and taste. She are able to do gluten free and dairy free (not certified) products by request. From custom cakes to yummy brownies and cookies, she can make your next event a sweet success! I love creating works of art that you can eat. Seeing the smile on peoples faces and the excitement of wow that's for me and I can eat it too! The fact that I can use my hands, get a little messy, and have fun making some special and memorable. I consider each order as a memory event, something to look back on and bring back the good feelings of the moment. There really is no limit to what I can create and so many different ways of doing it. No order is ever the same, and it keeps me on my toes and smiling.

I am residing in Augusta , GA and learned about Dessert Garden Bakery by browsing through Face Book. I started communication via text message and was pleased to find out that no matter what time of the day (I tried to stay within daytime office hours) I inquired about a new order, Loredana usually responded within the same day. She has covered our family events ever since: her cakes are fresh, moist, flavorful, and let's talk about her creativity!! How about either me giving detailed requests, she had cakes done to its "T"; and when we relied on her imagination, she positively surprised us all! My family and I have enjoyed her blue velvet cake, red velvet cake, black forest cake (original German recipe), and amaretto cheesecake....just to name a few. ~ Wishing her many new customers and best of success for all her future endeavors now!!! The cake was amazing, it wasn't like any cake i've had before. It was the moist, light and fluffy kind of cake that not everyone can make. I truly enjoyed it. And not to mention the designs were spot on and beautiful.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Pastry and baking certification, ServSafe, artistic skill
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I went to Georgia State University for 3 years and was always cooking and baking for roommates and friends. Eventually I had to move to Boston to be with family, and went to culinary school. Once I finished, I was hired by my internship right away and I was able to experiment and do some Research and Development for them. My father always loved sweets, and when he was diagnosed with cancer he really cherished those cravings. I would bake for him at home when I could, he always loved to bring extras to the office while he was still healthy enough and they appreciated it. Eventually I got the idea to try and do things on my own, and once I finally get my own bakery I would dedicate his favorite dessert to him for Fred Friday's where any military personnel and family could get a free brownie with purchase on a Friday. Once he passed, I just knew I had to make it happen, for the both of us.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with most walks of life. From high end golf club wedding, to backyard birthday party. I do not discriminate based on gender, gender association, race, religion, or sexual preference. I have done gay and lesbian wedding cakes. I do adult themed cakes and goodies. I have worked with Jewish families for functions. I love working with kids, like for my annual Winter Cookie Decorating Party. Once I was lucky enough to do a 90th birthday and even a wedding for 60+ age couple.
