Introduction: One of my favorite things is receiving a new challenge or design question that needs an answer. I find great satisfaction in finding a solution that melds design with personality to create a singular outcome. I view each job as an opportunity to learn and better myself. Nella created a short video for the company I worked for that we were able to use for crowd sourced funding and also as an informational video on our website. She is delightful to work with and finished the work on time, delivering polished and effective work for us to use. Nella was fantastic to work with! She was totally transparent as the process went along (which was greatly appreciated, as this was my first time working with an illustrator). Nella was creative and collaborative in bringing her own ideas to the project, and responsive to feedback from me about tweaking things until they were just right. Logistically, she was timely in completing the work and in all of her communication. I couldn't be happier with the process or the final result. We're already talking about another set of illustrations!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate is $25. Flat rates are also available. It's hard to say if any of it is standard, as each project has different needs and deliverables.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Connect, either in person or online, to discuss both the project and find out more about the client or their business. Once I have a sense of their aesthetic and goals, I will do any applicable research and then sketch up some ideas to bounce off of the client. Revisions will be made while keeping an open dialogue with my client. This should be exciting for all involved. Let's have some fun!
