FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is dependent on several factors: (1) Length of Performance; (2) Head Count of Musical Personnel; (3) Special Requests or Musical Arrangements. With that having been said, I would love to work as best as I can to accommodate your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First and foremost, it is important to me that your musical expectations and my musical styles are compatible. Since music has an immense diversity of styles and genres, it is important for me to understand the venue, atmosphere you wish to create, and musical needs. After agreeing on musical expectations, we can meet in person or over the phone to discuss musical arrangements and particular programming needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over my career, I have played in various string orchestras, chamber orchestras, and symphonies, of which I have served as concertmaster multiple times. I am classically trained and am comfortable playing in groups. I also have formal training in music theory, which I have been able to put into practice when improvising and collaborating with various church worship bands. Lastly, I have experience with making special request custom string trio and quartet arrangements. String arrangements I have coordinated in the past have ranged from Elgar's "Salut d'Amour" to Luther Vandross' "Take You Out."
