- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I generally have a flat rate for most visits and that's a per visit fee. However, if there will be multiple visits in one day, I will reduce the fee. In other words, I am flexible within reason. I certainly don't want the owners to be overwhelmed by the cost of pet care.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?One of the first things I like to do I'd to speak to the owner by phone, naturally. I believe this way allows the owner to get a feel for what kind of person I am. Next step is to set up an appointment to meet the owner and their pets. Now the owner has the chance to see how I interact with their pet. Also, to see how the pet receives me. We all know how animals sense things about a person. From there, I sit with the owner and discuss what they want to see done and how they want the visit(s)to go. Yes, I have my way of doing things, but I'd rather know how my clients want things done. I am all about your peace of mind.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I grew up on a farm and we raised all kinds of animals. In fact I have had pets of different sorts most of my life. I began pet caring for them when I lived in Texas starting in 1996. I also did rescues and rehoming. In 1987 I graduated from Medical Assistant school but continued to pet sit I worked in a veterinary office in California to learn more about animals and the care they need. Also, I am currently taking on line course for Veterinary assistant.
