Doreen, we apologize that there must have been a huge miscommunication in the services you thought were suppose to be provided. When we came and provided you with an in-home estimate, the prices and services you were quoted were clearly written on your estimate. You were quoted for natural floor refinishing, floor refinishing with color change and carpet removal at $1 per sq foot with 510 sq feet to be removed. We also quoted a great price for your floor refinishing. When we spoke about the furniture being moved we clearly stated that we do not move the furniture and your belongings because we are NOT a moving company and we are NOT insured to do so. You stated that you wouldn't be able to move some of the bigger items and in return we offered to assist you with moving some of the bigger items. We never quoted or charged you for any furniture removal as we are a hardwood flooring company and do not provide furniture removal services as we told you. Upon arrival we ended up having to do a lot of furniture moving which was not at all anticipated but we still did so to help you out. We feel that we went above and beyond our normal services to accommodate you and did a lot of extra work that you were never charged for. As stated above the $510.00 charge was for the total carpet tear out and removal from the home, nowhere on the estimate did it say that this price included moving furniture. When we discussed that we would assist with moving your large items in order to refinish your floors, we NEVER spoke of moving any of your items back in their original spots once the floors were completed. We let you know that payment in full was expected once the floor refinishing was complete and that is why you were asked to pay when the floor were finished. As far as needing the payment to purchase supplies for the next job, we also informed you in your first thumbtack quote that we recently started this business and therefore we sometimes do need payment from the previous job in order to start the next job that doesn't mean it's a BIG RED FLAG, it's just part of starting your own business! I would also like to add that even though we NEVER discussed moving your furniture back in the original estimate we did however let you know that we would come back Saturday morning to move your furniture for you because we are always trying to make sure our customers are fully satisfied. You decided to contact us and demand that we come back on Friday to move your furniture back and were not happy when we told you that we had another job to do and could not make it until Saturday. We tried to make accommodations to resolve this matter but they didn't work out and you hung up the phone and did not respond back when we told you that we could still come on Saturday. We do not feel that your review is justified what so ever. It does not seem that you have any issues with your floor therefore how can you doubt that your floors were not finished correctly? We make sure every job we do is done to the best of our ability and make sure our customers are satisfied with the work we do, which is hardwood flooring and not furniture moving. Again sorry for your misunderstanding but you definitely got a job well done for a great price and there is no other hardwood flooring company that would have done all that we did for you for the amount that you paid.
