FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the type of work being done and the degree of difficulty. I have a $79 minimum charge. I am competitive to the category of trade the task is in.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually meet a customer during a free onsite estimate when I ascertain the scope of work and can ask pertinent questions about the project. Some projects are simple enough to give an instant quote. I try to have any written estimates to a customer within 24 hours. I always use written, itemized estimates, and the customer approves the job before a task begins. After approval, the project gets a firm date and time appointment.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
From an early age, I did all sorts of projects with my grandfathers, one who was a handyman/painter, and one who was a pipe fitter. I used to be a golf course Superintendent at some of the most prestigious courses in the country. I have also worked in the service and construction trades catering to very discerning clientele. My personal homes have been bank auction and flips that I have remodeled myself. Eventually, I was tired of managing businesses for other people and wanted to have my own venture. I like the handyman trade because of the variety of work and the flexibility it gives me to be involved with my family.
