Introduction: I started horse riding and playing most equestrian sports in Argentina when I was six years old. My father, a cavalry officer with an impressive career as a professional equestrian competitor was my first coach and best role model of sportsmanship.. I was very fortunate to be able to share many years of my young life around horses with him, definitely the most impacting experience that shaped me as a sportsman and trainer.
In 1976 I started my military career as a cadet at the Argentine Military Academy and four years later graduated as a Cavalry Officer. Later on I was commissioned to serve at 2nd Cavalry Regiment in Olavarria and spent three years competing in all equestrian disciplines.
Based on my merits and success, in 1982 I was selected to take a year long Equestrian course to become “ Maestro de Equitation”. This was the most intense riding program in the world during which I had the privilege of being trained by expert instructors from many different countries.
After graduation from the Military Equestrian Academy, I earned a place as a member of the Argentine Military Equestrian Team. I spent three enriching and very formative years competing, training and teaching.
In 1986 I was offered the opportunity to pursue my equestrian Professional Career in the United States and since then I have being actively teaching and competing in New England. Initially I concentrated in Eventing, getting many of my riders and horses to be the best in New England. In the last decade I have added Fox Hunting and many of my riders are part of the front fields everywhere they go.
As a young Cavalry officer my deepest satisfaction was teaching and competing. Today my passion is to teach and witness the evolution, improvement and enjoyment my riders achieve.
