FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard pricing system implemented at this moment. I try to keep it open, depending on the customers' situation, so that I can work out pricing that works best for them and their needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I enjoy trying to get new people to open up and talk. When customers are happy and comfortable they will talk more about what they would like to see done, and what they want to see done. Understanding my customers, and really getting to know them, is important because they will have a more enjoyable experience and would be more likely to return as a customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My parents and grandparents always seemed to push me in the direction of taking photos. I seemed to have an eye for composition and the ability to learn quickly. They bought me a couple cameras, through the years, for birthdays or Christmas gifts. Cheap Polaroids and other gimmicky cameras of the early 90s were my tools of choice, because that's what I had available. When I was 9 years old, my Grandfather had given me a Minolta SLR with 3 lenses and 2 flashes. The camera belonged to my Grandfather, he took photos as a hobby, and he had collected the equipment over the years, and lost interest. At first I was lost, It was very complicated for someone of my age. I never let that hold me back, I started saving allowance to buy photography books as well as going to the library, within a couple months I had learned a great deal about camera settings, and how to work my complicated new camera. I shot a few rolls of film and had them developed, the shots weren't amazing as I was just starting, and had a lot to learn. Since then I have had, camera after camera, continued to buy books and study everything I could about photography. I'm self taught with experience. I have photographed weddings, events, concerts, portraits, landscapes, some fine art stuff, and much more. If there is anything else that you would like to know, please don't be afraid to ask, I'm an open book.
