FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in construction for nearly 10 years with experience in a wide range of fields ranging from the initial framing to final punch list items and everything in between. I have had the opportunity to work for and alongside multiple custom home builders, several remodel specialists, and numerous contractors. In the area of home inspections, I am certified by the American Home Training (AHIT) Institute.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It all started when I was about 15 years old and the custom home builder who had built the house my parents recently purchased came out to answer some questions about the systems in the house. Our families became friends and he offered me a job shortly thereafter. I loved working with my hands and seeing as work progressed and peoples' dreams were brought to reality. I went on from there to work for several other men in different cities as we moved around the country with the military until I got married and decided to start my own business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would urge anyone who is looking for a contractor to provide quality work in any field to do their homework, ask questions, and seek to gain at least a basic understanding of the process. It has been said that: An educated consumer is the best customer.
