- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have to see the fabric and design before I am able to do definite pricing. For sewing lessons I provide private lessons to one customer at a time. The customer must come to me. hours are Sat and Sun 10:00 am- 6:00 pm Monday-Friday 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm @ $40.00 per hour.My instructions include: mending, alterations, draping and cutting women and children clothing only, creating a pattern, using a serger, Home decorations, pillows, curtains, slip covers,upholstering dinnering room chairs, hand stiching, how to use a tape measure for measuring clothes size. Customers must have their own sewing machine.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask that my new customers give me some detail about the garment they would like me to create and give me a time frame on when it is needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years of experience working in the Fashion Industry in New York City. I worked with the fashion houses of Barbara Matera and Euroco. I also worked with Jim Hanson Muppets as a costume maker for many years.
