FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing system varies depending on the case. However, it usually starts $2,000 for a misdemeanor and $4,000 for a felony. Depending on how low or high severity of the misdemeanor or felony those prices go up or down. I also offer competitive payment plans and am more than happy to work with you so that you can retain an attorney that will fight for you for a reasonable price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process starts with speaking with the client. At this point I will decipher what their legal issue is. If it is a criminal charge, I always ask if they have a prior criminal history and whether they have been arraigned or if there is a warrant out for their arrest. If there is a warrant I will contact the Court where the warrant derived from. I then will set a time to walk my client in to Court so that they are not arrested out of the blue. This causes a lot of anxiety and just clearing the warrant (the fear of arrest) brings some relief. At this point, the case starts and the new client and I will have discussions regarding their expectations and facts and circumstances surrounding their case. This allows me to develop a sound trajectory for the direction of the case, which helps in achieving the very best result.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Law School for 3 years after my 4 year college degree. In law school I participated in the criminal trial clinic which put me in court nearly every day early on in my studies. Also I took as many trial courses as I could to hone my courtroom skills. I also did two internships at prosecutors offices as to give me an objective view of the other side of the coin. Since graduating law school I have been a practicing attorney and have appeared in nearly every jurisdiction in Michigan. This has allowed me to forge relationships and learn the Courts procedure which is imperative in helping a client achieve their goals.
