Introduction: I guarantee that you/your swimmer will be able to swim in ONE week. I have been a swim instructor for five years now, and I have taught all ages from infants to adults. I also have had experience coaching high school swim (Hart High School) as well as club swim team (College of the Canyons Club Team). Every single one of my clients have become safe, confident swimmers. I love seeing my clients overcome their fear of water and knowing that they can swim happily and confidently!!

Monica is an amazing teacher; she is enthusiastic, warm, and knowledgeable! She not only explains technical directions with clarity, but she also models the movement, and has the kids teach the concept back to her to solidify what they've learned. She has an incredible ability to explain critical nuances of movement at a child's level with fun picture descriptions that they can visualize and remember. My son improved more in one week with her than he did during an entire summer on swim team! My twins, who were afraid of the deep end, were comfortable and water safe in only a week! She has high standards and makes the most of the time, but everything she does is robed in so much love and kindness that the kids are pleased to challenge themselves and rise to the occasion. I can't say enough about what an amazing coach she is!

Monica has taught multiple of my children how to swim. We keep going back to her year after year because she is so great with children and is an excellent swim instructor. She connects with the kids and they quickly trust her and love working with her. She's gentle but motivated, funny and patient, and truly cares about each of her students. We love her!!!

My flat rate is $30 for one half an hour lesson. Depending on if I have to travel/how far, prices may vary.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
+ Basic Swim Instructor certified through the American Red Cross + Water Safety Instructor certified through the American Red Cross
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a competitive swimmer since I was 5 yrs old. I have swam at the high school and intercollegiate levels. I love not only learning new techniques and skills, but teaching them as well!
