They gave a good bid in a timely manner for a large patio which incorporated an existing patio. The first pour was awful. The patio rose 3 inches from the existing pad which created rather large pools of water. The pad was 6" smaller from one end to the other. The finish was rough and was uneven. They poured directly over a house vent blocking it completely. They got concrete all over the siding on the house and left a mess behind. They even used my tools and left them with concrete all over them. The only good thing that I can say is that, after I refused to allow them to try to skim coat the whole pad to level it, they came back, broke up the pad and repoured the patio. The finished product is good but they still left behind a mess and I am stuck repainting the siding.

I hired J&J because they were quick to respond with a bid and willing to start the work as soon as possible. After meeting with other companies I went with J&J because they offered the lowest bid and were ready to begin the job asap. Removing and the old porch and then pouring the new larger one went pretty fast. When it came time to stamp the brick design into the cement it was discovered the lines were crooked and was very noticeable. I asked them to come back and recut the lines to correct it and make the porch lines to look more symmetrical. They did come back and correct the cut but had to repaint the newly cut lines with paint and a brush (color had been applied before stamping). The new color did not blend into the previous color and I was advised it would blend in within a few weeks. It did not and still has not months later. I contacted J&J and advised the color was still not blending in and that they still needed to finish applying sealant to a small strip along the house. I was advised the representative was out of town and would stop by in a few weeks. I have not seen or heard from him since. Needless to say I am not happy with the finished product. This summer I will work with a friend that has performed this type of work in the past to repaint the porch and finish sealing the last bit.
