FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work both by the hour and have fixed rate packages as well as miscellaneous services offered but really each client is unique so the cost is personalized to each individual's situation after they review my complete list of services and decide what they want to purchase. --- PAYMENT---- Services can be paid for prior to the services with PayPal or through service websites Fiverr or Etsy (you need to have an account to purchase any "service listing" but it is free for all to sign-up) and additionally, in-person services can be paid for with cash (cash must be received before any services take place but all customers receive a receipt). For hourly services, I require payment upfront before any services can be rendered. If you book a package with me or schedule more than five hours of hourly work, then 50% of the fee is due before any services can be rendered and the remaining 50% of the fee is due within 48 hours after each of the services is completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After we first connect I ask that clients start a Pinterest board labeled “Personal Style” and begin to pin anything that catches their eye style-wise. It doesn’t have to be clothing just something that speaks to them aesthetically. I ask them to make note of what exactly they liked about it so later when we go over it together they will be able to share their thought process with me. I ask them to keep pinning on that board for at least a week before letting me look at it so I can get a sense of their style. I also have new clients fill out an in-depth new client questionnaire that goes deeply into their connection to style and helps me start to make a plan of how I can best help them as their stylist and consultant. I ask remote clients to send me 3 current well lit photos of themselves from different angles so I get an idea of their body type, and their complexion and coloring. (But only if they feel comfortable doing that.) After I have gone over the Pinterest board thoroughly and analyzed the questionnaire, I spend 60 - 90 minutes conversing with the client; asking and answering questions, finding out about their connection (good or bad) with style as well as going over their likes and dislikes and what they expect to get from sessions with me. Then I go over the styling plan I want to execute with them based on all the information I have analyzed from the information they’ve shared. We also finally discuss “signature style”, what theirs might be and how we can find exactly what works for them. I finish up with another Q & A before getting the green light from the client and setting the date for our first session. ---SERVICES PROVIDED--- Personal Style Assessment* *Personalized Style Guide is included in this assessment. The Personal Style Assessment includes a basic write-up of key suggestions of colors, styles, silhouettes, trends, etc, that work best for the client. This information is first and foremost gained from a client made Pinterest board labeled "Personal Style" (it can be labeled as a secret board just as long as I'm able to see it) and begin pinning everything that catches your eye style wise (and for big projects I have clients spend about a week doing this, less in depth means less time on Pinterest). Whether it's an article of clothing, a particular style, beauty or makeup photos, a piece of art, home decor...anything. Just as long as it inspires them and they want it to inspire their future style sense. I ask all clients to fill out an in-depth New Client questionnaire and ask them to return it to me (usually via email) for me to go over and see if I have any questions and likewise see if my clients have any questions for me. If my client feels comfortable I ask them to send me three full-body photos to help me determine what silhouettes and colors flatter you best and work with your lifestyle and other pieces in your wardrobe. Personalized Style Guide* So you don’t forget all the tips and tricks we discuss during your Personal Style Assessment, I’ll create a .doc or .pdf file of what colors, styles and silhouettes you should be wearing and how to wear them to optimize your style potential. If you would like a physical copy of this guide there is a charge of $25 for a binder and printed copy of this information. *Some packages include the personalized style guide while some do not. It is an add-on charge of $75 extra Personal Beauty Assessment: In addition to fashion services, I offer online beauty product shopping as well as cosmetics advice. Aside from beauty consultations, I also offer assessments on haircuts, hair color, skin care, nail care, and fragrances. Included in this assessment is the best cosmetic and beauty colors for your complexion and hair as well as a list of the best brands of cosmetic and beauty brands. Seasonal Color Analysis: Seasonal Color Analysis helps gives you the best colors that give your skin, hair, and eyes a healthy, attractive glow. Included in this analysis are the colors worth investing as well as those to avoid. Personal Men’s Style Assessment: I ask male clients to create a Pinterest board just like I do for the female clients. A New Client Questionnaire is also required before any services take place. Review the original Personal Style Assessment for more information on what is included.
