FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Obviously, the more out-of-the-ordinary the ceremony, the higher the fee, though I'll consider discounts for fun ideas! I'll also take into consideration travel and preparation time. For an additional fee, I will do premarital counseling, which I suggest for inter-faith and family-blending weddings; in which I always try to work the children into the ceremony.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet the couple at least once before the wedding so that I can get to know them and get a feel for what, exactly, they are looking for in their wedding ceremony. I try my best to tailor everything to match both their desires and their personalities. I can do everything from high-church to horseback! And do it with class. Again, I have and am willing to do same-gender weddings.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Master of Divinity from Bangor Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Chicago Theological Seminary. I am ordained in the United Church of Christ and hold standing in the Western Reserve Association.
