Introduction: My Name is Karen Serianni and I am the owner of CNY Canine Coaching and my business is on Facebook and on the internet. I am a “pet” dog trainer and offer private training and group classes. Group Classes are always posted on my website and on Facebook. Please search for me online! I’m a CPDT-Ka (certified professional dog trainer) through CCPDT.org, professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (amongst other certifications and professional memberships). I’m insured and certified. No hidden costs here! In-home training consults start at $100-$150 for a 90 minute consultation depending on type of training and location. With your initial consult you get a short write up on the day of the consultation. Shortly there after I will email an in-depth consult summary. I always allow questions after the initial consult. Additional in-home appointments are generally between $85-100. For in-home appointments, I mostly serve the Utica, Rome, and Oneida areas. I will travel further for an additional charge. I can also meet you out somewhere locally. I won’t ever try to talk you into a specific number of sessions. I believe that you should be in control of if and when you want to do more training. Some people opt for multiple appointments at the consult and select a package of 6 appointments at a reduced cost. I offer private training for manners and cues (obedience), nose work, & tricks. I use positive reinforcement based training methods. The trainings are fun and non-competitive; perfect for the everyday family dog! I’ve taken several courses in dog training including dog emotion and cognition, shelter dogs, pro dog training, shy and fearful dogs, and more. I love working with people and dogs. It's amazing how much a dog can learn! I try to keep learning fun so the owner and dog enjoy it. I believe in the LIMA principal- always use the Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive method possible.
