FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I've restructured my pricing several times since staring Love, Honor, and Cherish, and I feel as though I've arrived at a point where I'm offering the most straightforward options for couples planning for their big day. There are officiants out there who charge a great deal more than I, and I'm still trying to figure out what services they provide that allow them to charge the exorbitant fees they do. I'm not into the whole "a la carte, pay me extra for sand ceremonies or for a bigger wedding" ideology. It's not costing me any more to perform a service in front of 200 people than it is in front of 20, so it makes no sense to me to raise my prices for larger weddings or to include smaller ceremonies within the larger one. If you have any questions at all about any of the services I provide or the pricing structure I use, don't hesitate to get in touch.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to have an initial meeting with my customers early in the process to make sure I fit into the vision you have of your ceremony. Then I keep in frequent contact with the couple in the period leading up to the rehearsal and the ceremony so that there are no surprises on your big day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold both undergraduate and graduate degrees in English, so I understand how important it is to use just the right words in every situation. I've also been a classroom teacher for the past 18 years, so I'm perfectly comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people.
