FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because each project is so unique, most exact rates can be figured out after an initial conversation. The main item to decide, is do you ONLY need audio recording and editing, or do you need my musical skills? I work very quickly, and once I know the project needs, I can quote a fair package price, regardless of how long it might take. That removes the "clock watching" that can happen with hourly rates. That stated, most basic projects for voice over or editing take between 2-4 hours, so at $75 per hour, be prepared to spend at least $150-225, but it could be more depending on what you need. I am also open to shorter sessions, and generally, the easier it is for me, the more room to negotiate ( travel distance, edit or no edit work, etc ) I am happy to talk through it before you commit. Just reach out and ask!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We might do a few emails, and if possible, a short phone call. I ask questions to determine project scope, deadlines, submission requirements, and services you need. Basic services I offer frequently: - Audio recording and editing - Voice over - Music arranging, production help - Music performance ( piano/guitar/bass) - Audio clean up - Audio re-mixing
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a 4 year college degree in jazz performance, as pianist and guitarist/bassist. I have been a pianist with the Navy Band since 2002, and have performed with large and small ensembles in that position. I own and run Musical DJs and Event Lighting, as a DJ and Sound Engineer and Musician I have produced and recorded over 36 albums since 1995, not including the work I am doing now
