FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work with any budget. I'm not a photographer that charges $50 for an 8x10 portrait. A lot of my clients are young couples getting married and starting family, and being a family man myself, I know how hard it is to save for weddings and expenses that go into raising a child. Wedding photos shouldn't be 50% of someone's wedding budget. I'm going to work with you to figure out what your budget is, and I'll make sure we can get some high-quality photos.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I like to talk with new clients about what they are looking for in their photos. I show them a portfolio that has a variety of images that have been edited in photoshop, so I can find out if they are going for a more natural look or if they are interested in have extra things done in post-production (creative backgrounds, effects etc.) It's a collaborative experience. A lot of photographers will tell you what photos they are going to shoot and how they are going to edit them, but I like to have my clients have the most input on what the final product is.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Communications at Central Washington University, and that included a lot of digital media courses like photoshop and indesign. While working in newspapers, it requires a lot of editing and graphic design. And it's an industry that is always changing and new softwares are always coming out, so I like to attend workshops and conventions to get hands-on training by some of the best photographers out there.
