FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our radon testing is $100, which includes a 48 continuous radon monitor placed in the lowest level of your home or building. After the test, you will receive a PDF copy of the report showing hourly readings for every hour the test was in your home. Our base prices for mitigation systems start at $650 and rarely exceed $850, which includes a post installation test left in your home for 72 hours. Crawl spaces are bid by the square foot, and will most likely require a site visit to give an accurate quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For testing, we make the process as fast and simple as possible. When a testing customer calls, we will ask some very brief questions, set up a drop off time and a pick up time for the test equipment. We will get your full contact information as well as billing information that will be billed upon receipt of test results. The process for mitigation customers is similar, although we will need additional information on the structure we will be working on.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Gateway Radon is AARST and NRPP certified. Our installers attend training at Kansas State University at the first available opportunity to ensure that their field training is complimented by good fundamentals.
