FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nearly all my plumbing quotes are flat-rate estimates, so that you, the customer, know your costs up-front. I do not believe in hidden fees and costs after a job begins. With 30 years experience, I know what it takes to get a job done, and I'm confident my pricing is accurate and fair. For problems that require more detailed testing and diagnostics to determine a fix, such as heating/HVAC trouble, I charge an affordable flat-rate diagnostic fee... then present my findings and solutions and additional repair costs, up front, before moving forward.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If I'm invited to work in your home, here is what you can expect... 1. Communication. I will schedule your needs as necessary and call a day before to confirm your appointment. I will call within an hour of arriving at your home. I will call ahead of time if there may be a delay in my arrival. 2. Options. There is often more than one solution to any problem. I make every effort to offer those options, such as repairing a leaky faucet or replacing it.... what's more cost effective and lasting? Or... a leaking pipe... do we just fix the leak, or maybe replace a few feet of it to prevent further leaks? I'm happy to repair a running toilet.... and check the others in your home while I'm there, because they might be just as old and ready to have problems too. 3. Cleanliness. I lay out protective drop clothes and/or roll-out paper as necessary to protect your flooring. I do not ever put tools or materials on your furniture or counters without protecting them. 4. Courtesy. I do not yell, curse, play loud music or otherwise act in a manner that would embarrass myself, you, or those in your home. I rarely ever answer phone calls while working in a clients home, because you are fairly paying for my time and attention to your needs. I am considerate and courteous, and will treat you and your home with respect from start to finish. 5. Excellence. I take personal pride in my work and strive for perfection. All my work is neat, clean, straight and solid. No rocking toilets. No crooked piping. No cheap materials that wont last. I'm a professional, and I guarantee my work to be of higher standards and better quality than my competitors.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I earned a certification in architectural drafting from Island Drafting and Technical Institute in 1996. I am U.S. EPA certified in HVAC refrigeration. I continue to attend technical and training courses and seminars offered by many manufacturers, in order to be well versed and educated in the newest products and best solutions to offer my clients.
