Introduction: Breighton & Basette Photography is Cincinnati, Ohio-based boutique specializing in wedding and portrait photography. We love working together because we love doing good work together. Long, hot summers spent painting houses with our dad and late grandfather taught us a lot about this. It's what fueled our desire to start our own photography company while working day jobs in law and business. And it's also why we care so much about the details whenever we shoot. We believe good photography is in the details, and no detail is too small. We learned early on that sometimes, you have to sweat the small stuff. We capture the moments - we never force them. Nothing makes us happier than hearing our clients' surprise when they see photos of moments they didn't even know we captured. We believe moments are best when they're organic. Your comfort is our primary goal. That's why we insist on scheduling a consultation before your wedding or portrait session - we want you to get to know us and be comfortable with us. It's also an opportunity for us to get a sense of who you are and what's important to you. My business partner and I hired Breighton and Basette photography for professional portraits to add on our website. All we can say is, "Wow! What a truly professional experience!" From the first planning session to viewing our final images, we were impressed with how smoothly things went. Breighton and Basette picked a beautiful location for our shoot, and even though it was extremely hot that day, spent hours with us making sure that we had plenty of perfect shots. Their friendliness immediately made us feel at ease. Breighton and Basette took the time to listen to our ideas and came up with many creative ideas of their own. We received our edited photos quickly and were so pleased with them. We will most certainly use them again for any of our future photography needs.

My husband and I decided to get family portraits taken a couple years ago. We knew Basette and his brother Breighton personally and had viewed their impressive work online. After scheduling with them and deciding on a location, they contacted us to walk through what to expect. They helped guide clothing options and listened to specifics regarding the type of photos we were hoping to capture. The day of the shoot was a beautiful fall day. I expected to spend about an hour total getting the photos taken considering that seemed standard, and I wasn’t sure how long my 6- and 9-year-old would last. From the beginning of the shoot, I could tell this was going to be special. They seamlessly guided us with each photographer taking pictures independently. It was obvious, though, that they were working together and had extensive knowledge of photography. Even without much communication with each other, they were able to work together to capture amazing pictures. We moved through multiple settings throughout our location. Ideas seemed to instantly flow as they would stop us to take a variety of pictures. Working in tandem, each photographer could capture a mix of posed and candid shots. They made the entire family feel at ease and my children had a great time throughout. My childrens’ happiness and rapport with Basette and Breighton showed in their genuine smiles. We couldn’t believe when we finished that we had spent almost 3 hours together. And the number of photos that were taken was certainly way more than I would have expected. I couldn’t wait to see the actual pictures. There were several family groupings to choose from, so many sweet moments of us together and some amazing individual pictures of my girls. I could not have been more thrilled with the final product. The uniqueness and the details captured in the photos were immediately obvious when viewing the proofs. These were without a doubt the best pictures we had ever had taken. I was so proud to post them on social media and the positive comments that came back were overwhelming. We will have these pictures forever. Our family is so happy that we went with Breighton and Basette. I recommend them to anyone who is needing photos for any occasion. You will be impressed with their professionalism and their ability to capture your unique family in the final product.

Breighton and Basette shot our engagement pictures, and we couldn't have been happier! They were so easy going and fun to work with; we were very comfortable through the whole shoot! They really captured some amazing pictures that were so "us." They were very professional, and had great, creative ideas for beautiful poses and backgrounds. Our clients' comfort is our primary goal. We never want our clients' first interaction with us to be at the event or session. That's why we strongly encourage meeting for a brief consultation before the event or session to get acquainted and to get a sense of their style. We also love details! It makes all the difference when your're in front of the lens.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Both of us are self-taught, and have been photographing for 10+ years. Our career paths led us to jobs in law and business, before realizing that our passion for creativity and documenting moments was just too strong to ignore.
