Introduction: George Simian Photography brings a lifetime of experience in teaching and commercial photography. I started out teaching at Cornell University and Art Institute of Boston, then worked as a commercial photographer for 30 years, and moved to LA to teach again, first at UCLA, now with weekend workshops sponsored by Samy’s Camera. I have extensive mastery of photography, portraiture, strobe lighting, post-processing (LR, PS, C1) and color management. I was recognized by UCLA as Instructor of the Year in 2007, and by Photo District News Magazine in 2011 as one of the dozen best photo workshop instructors in the US.

What a wonderful man. I found him warm, funny, professional, and his sense of humor made working with him such a pleasure. He is very experienced at his craft, and he had a sharp eye to see my areas that needed help . He gave me exactly what I needed to make better images. I cherish George.
