- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I first got my start back in the 90’s after graduating from Rowan University with a BA in Theater. No, I wasn’t striving to be an actor. I was more focused on directing and writing. I worked for a few years writing for several comedy groups throughout the New York metropolitan area. In the late 90’s, I developed a love for audio engineering after spending time with comedians working on their studio recordings. I developed a love for the recording process so I decided to take a chance, and secured a job at a small recording studio in Portland, Oregon. While cutting my teeth as a recording engineer in Portland, my boss, the studio owner, felt it necessary to branch out and add another facet to the business, video production. Wanting to expand my own repertoire in multimedia, I eagerly jumped in and learned everything there was to learn about video production. I haven't looked back since. I love this field because I am always learning new things, meeting new people, and creating wonderful videos. It sure beats sitting in a cubicle writing reports.
