Introduction: I enjoy helping students understand the subject that too many love to hate: MATH! I LOVE MATH!! Seriously. My college degree is in Applied Mathematics / Economics from Brown University. After spending time as a freelance editor for technical publications, I began teaching at the high school level---sixteen years ago. Specifically, I have experience with all levels of Algebra and Geometry / Trigonometry. I have tutored at all levels of math from Grade 3 to PreCalculus. As I said, it is a pleasure to help a young person build confidence as they sense a growth in understanding and watch their math grades improve.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was in education and encouraged me to apply my degree in Applied Mathematics / Economics to teaching high school students at a time when math teachers were in high demand (2000).
