After teaching for ten years and becoming a mother of three, I continue to remain passionate about teaching reading and writing to children. I especially love the one on one instruction and small group work with children I have done the last few years as a private instructor. Seeing my students feel confident and successful is rewarding. As well as seeing their individual growth as they develop and enrich their reading and writing skills.

Mary has been super helpful for my son from 3rd grade to his current year, 7th grade. She is very accommodating with her time. When it comes to reading and writing, Mary helps my son organize his thoughts and compose his papers so that they are coherent. She is great with teaching the kids how to study and helps them figure out a study and homework plan to accomplish what they need to do for the week. Not only does she focus on reading and writing skills, but she is knowledgeable in all subjects ranging from science to social studies. Mary has been a tremendous help, and we are lucky to have her!

My daughter has been working with Mary for 2 years now. Mary is very patient, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. She tries to reinforce the reading and comprehension techniques that are being taught in school. The 1-1 attention during reading tutoring has been crucial to my daughter's success.

Mary has been tutoring our son off and on for a few years. She has supported my boys particularly in writing assignments, guiding and giving tips. Additionally she works on comprehension and strengthening main idea. She has been a good tutor and certainly has helped my boys get through all the difficult writing assignments.
