FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Materials are dependant on what I can find and I always try to get the best deals and use available discounts to keep my customers' material cost as low as possible. For labor, I charge by each foot of fence and the price per foot is mostly dependant on the type of fence (wood, chainlink, vinyl) and the difficulty of job (land/layout) price per foot typically ranges from $7/foot-$12/foot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up watching and helping my father and grandfather build fences and decks and they passed down their knowledge to me. I also worked for Lowe's for 2 years building fences, decks, and playgym sets and Cornerstone Fence Builders building fences and decks.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father and grandfather each owned and operated fence businesses (Cornerstone Fence Company, and Four Square Fence company) and carpentry became a passion of mine at a young age.
