Introduction: ABOUT
My name is Yechan Song (예찬 송). I was born in South Korea, raised in Kyrgyzstan, and came to California, USA in high school. I’m a 22 year old who is passionate about music and hopes to make a living off of performing. I’ve played music since Jr. High and loved it ever since. I first started with classical, then switched to metal, then jazz, and now currently trying to make my own sound within the soul genre. Music Theory and Music History are two topics I can talk all day about. I’m inspired by Music Greats like Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, and Thelonious Monk. I am currently playing regularly at Wokcano Restaurant, but wish to expand my scope. I also started a music program at a substance abuse rehabilitation center because I truly believe that music can transform lives as it has with mine.

WHAT TO EXPECT
You can expect a high level of professionalism and friendliness with minimal additional assistance from you. My partner, a Business Administration student at the University of California - Irvine and project manager, makes sure of that.
I can provide all the musical equipment necessary for a performance of 1 to 100 people. My equipment includes a speaker, mic, and musical instrument so I do not need a lot of space or require much from you. Although I do prefer having a power outlet, my speaker can be powered by battery so it is not necessary.
Before your event, I will contact you to discuss song preferences, setup, and will even learn new songs for your special occasion.
I am best if you are looking for a warm, intimate, soulful, and relaxing music as opposed to club or EDM music. I want to make sure that I am the best vibe and sound for your event, so you can request for an audition.
