FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price by the hour, by project, by client, and by urgency. While I do have standard hourly pricing listed on the website, this is mostly to define service areas. For each customer, I like to get to know the project and background. Naturally, my fees for designing a logo would be less for a humane non-profit than they would be for a multi-national corporation. I structure my fees this way to ensure that both small businesses and entrepreneurs can take advantage of professional services normally only reserved for larger corporations. This helps to improve the markets by allowing competition.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, I place new customers into a "discovery stage" where both the client and myself go through a short 15 minute consultation. This discovery process is designed to accurately assess each client in terms of their needs and perceived problems that we can work to remedy. Each customer, brand, and project are different so this discovery process enables both client and consultant to learn more about one another and to potentially move into the stage of analysis and assessment. New customers are encouraged to either schedule this consultation via the website, by phone, or through email. If you are a thumbtack customer, please use coupon code "probono" to bypass my scheduling system's credit card verification process. I require the verification to prove a submission is human. If you are reading this, you likely are. Please use code "probono" to bypass the check and schedule your consultation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 17 years of professional experience working as Art Director, Senior Creative Director, Senior Web Architect, and Independent Consultant. I do have a degree in visual communications as well, but my work experience highly overshadows my education. I do, however, constantly learn new techniques and principles to ensure my clients do receive the most modern practices and accepted standards. Because I work in technology, I am constantly required to stay current.
