Terrible customer service, terrible communication. Quoted me a price for the work I wanted to be completed via Thumbtack, then walked the property with my fiancé and confirmed. Was supposed to finish by Friday. When we got there Friday he had not finished and said he would need a few days. Came back on Monday at 9am to pay him and when we arrived 4 rooms had not been painted. He tried to tell us they were not included in the quote. He then agreed to finish the job that day but he would need an advance on payment so he could get supplies (i.e. a ladder) because all his were being used. We stayed and cleaned the house while they were painting, at 3pm they had still not finished so we left and agreed to meet the next morning to pay. We then texted and asked if he wanted to meet later that night 830-9pm because he desperately wanted to get paid that day. He agreed but said he would need to wait until 9:30pm because he was out to dinner. When we got to the property, the painters were still there. Apparently they had left when we did at 3pm and my fiancé had to wait until almost 11pm for them to finish. It was an awful experience, and I would definitely not rehire. Additionally, not enough drop cloths were not used, there were paint splatters all over the floor. Also- they did not tape off in any of the bedrooms or dining room so there is paint on the baseboards and chair rail. Kept the house at a cool 65 degrees and as a result our electric bill was $50 for that week.
