- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I do is setup a Google Hangout or Skype session to learn more about my clients on a personal level. Each session lasts 1 to 2 hours, sometimes longer (depending on what we're discussing). I treat the experience as a meet and greet, combined with an assessment of their needs, desires, and business (if applicable). I take a lot of notes and help my clients make a concrete decision on how they would like to proceed with a project. Once we have come to an agreement, I send out a contract, ask the client to pay a deposit, and begin working on the project. As I make progress, I send them email/text notifications and setup additional Hangout/Skype sessions for clarity. It's my goal to involve the client as much as possible, considering it's THEIR money and THEIR product. Why shouldn't they be involved!? After I have completed the project, I provide 90 days of FREE support (back end, front end, and in between) as a gesture of good faith and confidence in my work. If the client wishes to continue utilizing my services, after the 90 days, I create a 12 month payment plan to perpetuate the support. This can be renewed every year. My overall goal is to provide a long-lasting relationship with my clients. Their success and happiness matter to me. I'm willing to go the extra mile to provide whatever a client needs. There is no client too big or small. I serve each one with the same courtesy, respect, and loyalty as I would any other client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the IT industry for 12 years and hold an Information Systems Management degree from Auburn University. My career experience encompasses the following areas of technology: level 2 technical support, business analysis, quality assurance, full stack development, and web design. I have worked in the following industries: education, energy, oil, gas, medical, transportation, and payroll. I hold several Microsoft certifications in respect to Windows and SharePoint as well as CompTIA Security+.
