Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: River Fishing Adventure is not your typical guide service. We feel that a truly amazing fishing trip involves a beautiful backdrop as unspoiled and uninhabited as possible. Who wants to fish a bustling lake with large pleasure craft and hordes of other fishermen while you constantly rock back and forth from the boat traffic? We sure don't and thats why a trip with us is really something special. A fishing trip should be relaxing, not stressful and we want to go where few to no other boats have the ability to go. You'll ride in comfort and style in our custom built Xtreme center console with 200 Hp Mercury jet drive, sometimes in only ankle deep water! We offer from a half day adventure to a 3 day customizable excursion on 3 different rivers in two states. Location We fish several North Georgia Rivers such as The Etowah, Coosa, Chattahoochee, as well as Tennessee's Clinch, and Cumberland Rivers. No experience? No worries. We primarily use live bait so there is never a need to cast unless you want to. All you have to do is relax, have a cold drink and let the fish do the work! Whether it's fighting a 30 pound monster striped bass in knee deep water or a 40 lb. channel catfish from the clear depths , we go for the big ones no matter what species, though we cannot stop the little ones from eating our baits also! Our primary targets are striped and hybrid bass, largemouth, spotted, smallmouth bass, trout, blue and flathead catfish among others. Bait is caught fresh by your guide because nothing beats the actual forage those big fish are feeding on at that certain time. Conservation We practice "CPR" which stands for Catch, Photo, Release for all landlocked striped bass. Conservation is the key to keeping healthy populations of these majestic sport fish for following generations to enjoy. You do have the option of keeping a legal limit of catfish, trout, white bass, crappie, and other pan fish. What to bring? Sunscreen and a hat are a must especially in the Summer heat. Please avoid spray on lotions as they tend to make our floors slippery. Bring enough food and snacks for your time on the water, we do provide bottled water. You must have a valid fishing license for the state we are fishing in, click here to get your Georgia license online. Dress for success. Layers of clothing for the colder months, but always bring a jacket even for hot days as the early morning boat ride can be chilly. Light, breathable rain gear is a good idea as weather forecasts can change quickly. Inclement Weather Rain can provide a great fishing opportunity however we do not fish while thunderstorms are projecting lightning in our vicinity. We will do our best to resume fishing as soon as possible. Prior to your trip if it is deemed that the weather will adversely affect us from being safe and catching fish we will offer you another date or refund your deposit. We fish all year round however the Spring through Fall are the prime months so please book as far in advance as possible to be sure we have availability. We require a 50% deposit payable by check or credit card.

The Owner / Guide... Marty Petza has chased fish of all sizes for 34 years and has built a reputation as a man with a "sixth sense" to find and catch fish. The 39 year old family man was once an avid tournament angler for most of his youth, fishing B.A.S.S. Pro / Am, RedMan, and his local federation tournaments every weekend winning not only cash, and boats but the interest of the industry. In 1991 he was a state champion in BP's very first CastingKids competition which gave him a platform to teach other kids how to properly cast a fishing rod. As a 13 year old he was the youngest sponsored tournament angler by companies such as Gambler Boats, STORM Lures, Versitex Fishing Rods, and several other tackle manufacturers. Marty is also a published author of informative articles in early Maryland BASS Federation magazine issues also giving numerous seminars at industry shows across the east coast. A highly experienced boat pilot, he grew up navigating the expansive Chesapeake Bay learning from his father to read the weather and respect mother nature at all times. Taking the United States Power Squadron courses at an early age he learned to properly captain a vessel as well as chart complex oceanic courses. Marty is a safe and courteous boater and is very personable and easy to talk to giving a wealth of knowledge throughout your trip as well as some great fish stories! We would love to have you fish with us!
