- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All prices are based upon Weight (Small- XL), Condition of Coat (matting, shedding), Frequency of Grooming, & Temperament. Additional costs may include- travel, special needs, & treatments. Discounts are available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
*Phone interview- where pertinent information is exchanged. Clients questions/concerns are addressed & appointment times are given. *Check in on day of appointment is not rushed (unless necessary to decrease the dogs separation anxiety). *Ample time given for the client to relax and acclimate to its surroundings and process. *I read canine body language and communication markers- to get the most positive experience possible. *Proper safety and disinfection procedures are always implemented between every groom.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
*18+ year Certified Firefighter/EMT. *Certified Pet First Aid/CPR. *Lifelong pet parent/basic dog training & interest in animal behavior. *Lifelong interest/study of holistic & natural treatments of animals including crystals, aromatherapy, reiki, and naturopathy. *2 years as a bather/brusher & Groomers Apprentice in a corporate environment. *Work with 5+ local rescues by providing free grooming to help expedite adoptions. *I do a minimum 60 hours of yearly Continuing Education on the Health, Safety, and Care of animals in the form of webinars, reading, expos/shows, & hands on seminars in NH, RI, CT, & MA. *Current member of New England Pet Grooming Professionals.
