This was my first time using a mover so I was a little unsure/skeptical regarding the entire process. When Darrel had contacted me he was friendly and answered all of my questions (and i had a lot). After that my mind was at ease. The move itself was SUPER fast. Darrel and Mike were efficient and moved everything with the care and consideration one would expect from a big name company. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We have a set rate of $120/hr. This includes the truck, two movers, assembly/disassembly, blankets, and straps. Larger jobs that require 3 movers are $140/hr. We also charge a $1 a mile over 20 miles. Depending on size of job we may give a discount after certain amount of hours. There is also a charge of $25 for moving appliances and electric exercise machines.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I will call them and ask them a few questions about themselves. I enjoy meeting new people. I’ll find out what needs moved and how far. Using this information I will develop an invoice of the charges and send via email. If the customer then decides to hire me we will schedule a time and date.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been moving customers for Reliable Moving and Labor for 2 yrs. I worked for another moving company for a few yrs prior to starting my own business.
