Introduction: Workshop 1 (Age 18 and older) -- Introduction to beginner ASL, basic sign language facts and deaf culture
Topics to learn are as follows:
* Sign the alphabet
* Introduce yourself in sign language
* Use facial and body expression
* Sign numbers 1-10 and basic colors
* Feelings and emotions
* Family
* Ask questions in ASL: who,what, where, when, how, how many, and why
Workshop 2 -- Intermediate level of ASL
* Learn about deaf culture, correcting errors, and asking to repeat
* Using expressive and receptive signing
* Using body language and facial expression
* Describing past, present and future
* When and where you can meet up with nice and patient deaf people in your community
* Learn ways to practice with common games, the Internet, with friends, etc.
* Proper etiquette and avoiding common mistakes
* Signing simple, basic sentences and questions and answers
* Important topics: education, legal, medical, emergencies, safety, etc.
If time permits, question and answer period and topics of interest you'd like or need to learn are available!
The following are just a few reasons to learn American Sign Language:

- You have a passion or interest in learning this beautiful language
- You simply want to learn the third most commonly used language in America!
