Introduction: I specialize in capturing great moments at all types of events, celebrations and festivities. My photos are interesting and high-quality - you don't have to settle for either/or! I also love taking portraits and headshots, as well as finding new ways to photograph groups and families of all sizes. My favorite photos are of people reacting authentically to their environment and situation -- tourists taking it all in, fevered dancing, kids playing, deep mourning, cultural festivities, friends out for a crazy night or anything ripe for experiencing our human condition and connection. I was born and raised in Michigan in the U.S. and have lived in Chicago, Colorado, Budapest, Madrid and several other places for 2- to 3-month stints. I love traveling and change, and I feel most inspired to create when my surroundings are new and unfamiliar to me. I went to school at North Park University and have since spent my career helping great people connect to other great people, products, services and art. I've done this through writing, photography, media relations, community management and performance.
