Julie is a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and graduated from Columbia University. They started their careers as rental agents and subsequently founded Better Place in 2005. Better Place now manages over 150 units and is growing. In addition to the basic service listed below we are flexible and can tailor our services to meet the needs of individual clients. Basic Services Provided: Daily tenant correspondence and handling routine maintenance requests Onsite monitoring of the property 3-5 times per week Scheduling repairs, contractors, plumbers, electricians Overseeing cleaning services, snow removal and unit turnover Lock outs 24 hour emergency services Contract bidding and capital expenditure oversight Accounting Services Provided: Bill payment and expense tracking Monthly profit and loss statement Rent collections Managing escrow accounts Eviction services Communication Better Place Management uses Buildium software for all management services including tenant communication, rent payments and ledger tracking. Owners have access to all of the information through a personalized website including rent collections, accounting and maintenance requests. Each tenant receives a login to a website where he or she can corresponds with the management company, request maintenance, pay and track rent payments and view leases and other documents.
