Introduction: My goal is to always give the best to my students! I have a warm heart and love for my students and work hard to see each one succeed to their full potential. I am not a "professional" in that I have had years of study and performance in music, but I play piano well, have been involved in music my whole life, and am able to teach others, whatever age, with great success! I use various activities to help my students learn and to keep things interesting. We don't just sit at the piano for the whole lesson, but we play games, learn about rhythm using different instruments, and do crafts. With older students not only do I teach note reading on the staff but also theory, including how to build chords, chord progressions and how to play from a chord chart. I work hard to keep things fun and to keep the student inspired to continue! In the past I have taught group piano lessons, music appreciation for preschool group, and private lessons to both children and adults. I also had the privilege of teaching piano to an autistic student who was one of my students in the Special Education Department where I worked. I thoroughly enjoyed that! I am very willing to work with students who may be handicapped or challenged in any way. Music is for everyone! I so love to see my students learning and having fun along the way! The majority of people are not, and will not become, professional musicians but are individuals who still want to enjoy music and making music on their own. I love giving people the tools they need so they can participate in music to whatever degree they desire! Each student is different and I don't expect for them all to learn the same. I try to approach their learning as an individual and will shape the learning experience to their specific need. Learning piano gives a person confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Watching that develop in others is very fulfilling. I love people, I love music and I love sharing what I know in a warm, kind, and encouraging atmosphere!

We love Cindy. She is full of love for others and for our Lord. She taught my son piano since he was 5 for over 4 years, and started with my daughter when she was 6. My kids have totally different personalities and she taylered the lessons to what worked best for them and got them excited to learn. I am sad we are no longer close to her, or they would still be taking lessons from Cindy.

Cindy is so kind, patient, and extremely knowledge. She gave my daughter piano lessons for a year. During thatgone Cindy would go out of her way to accommodate my daughter's basketball schedule. My daughter, in the beginning, gave cindy attitude because she really wasn't into piano, but by the year my daughter not only loved piano but Cindy as well. She even cried when I told her cindy would be moving and would no longer give her lessons. I honestly recommend CINDY!

Prior to beginning lessons with Cindy, I had dabbled in piano playing for several years without making significant progress. Cindy helped me to get on track with my piano playing. She gears her instruction to her students skill level and the preferred music styles. Her approach was very hands on, and she does not load you down with theory. I highly recommend her, if you are interested in learning to play the piano.
