Introduction: Ninja Seishin (Psyche of the Shinobi/Kunoichi)
The essence of the ninja spirit is fortitude: perserveince of mind, body and consciousness. Endure shame and forget jealousy; the origin is patience. This is a journey not a destination, it takes effort and will inspire you to be a better human being continuously with greater endeavor.
An Overview About Training with Our School
While there are many aspects of study in this training, it balances all martial skill. Life and death, it is a very direct, efficient and deadly martial art. This is more than a fighting style or sport. While being physical and a great way to improve your strength through conditioning, and flexibility. It is a way of life, an applicable way of using techniques with least effort for most effect, rather than strength to disable opponents. As masters of anatomy and movement, we understand how the body works, so it can be defeated through physics and proper technique. It is a discipline of science and an art. It can be used to gain balance, focus, fitness and self discipline and protection and is a path to budo. We employ all areas of combat in use for survival and self defense: standing combat, ground combat, empty handed, all weapons training, interacting with one's environment (parkour or gymnastics ukemi), interacting with the mind (psychology, zen), grappling and joint manipulation, striking and pressure point strikes throws, sweeps chokes, escapes disarming weapons,and much, much more). We practice with partners in a practical drills and reaction time in a high repetition and controlled manner that is focused on self progression and as a group that has been thought and refined over hundreds of years effectively to benefit our daily lives and overall heath, mental clarity and physical ability. Make sure to consult a physician before committing to enrollment. We strive to have safe training and practice within our school, Learning this combative art can be dangerous and can result in serious bodily injury or death. It is important to train and practice under the supervision of an instructor. The techniques and strategies thought are designed to disable or even kill as last resort as a means of defense. Mutual welfare of your classmates and dojo is important for these reasons. Learning martial arts is fun and a great way to get in shape and learn about our anatomy and improve our life quality. Historically the reward to the practitioner was not a trophy or to fight for sport. It was about surviving Budo is all about dealing with life or death situations with grace and perseverance and is wonderful way to add value and appreciation to your life.Classmates are family here and we grow together and work together.
