Doug is a gem to work with in that he listens and incorporates my personal preferences in the lesson. He is thorough, won't let you off the hook, and one of my favorite things is that he will video difficult fingering and send to me for practice.

Look for a music teacher who also has many years of experience performing. It's great for a teacher to also be firmly grounded in live shows in front of audiences.
