Introduction: Private Music Lessons offered by an instructor with a Master of Music degree from Drake University and BM from the Conservatory of Music and Dance in Kansas City. I teach piano, voice and harp to children through adults, beginners through professionals, including advanced level. I emphasize technique, repertoire, reading skills, style and performance preparation, including sight singing and audition skills. My previous teaching positions include the Rollins College (voice), University of Central Florida (piano and harp), and Valencia College (piano and voice). Former students have appeared in touring musical theater shows (USA and Europe), Broadway shows, dinner theater productions and more. Students have won national and state competitions, scholarship awards, and have been accepted to colleges across the country, including the Manhattan School of Music and Yale. Some students have pursued careers in music performance and teaching. Others have simply wanted to experience the joy of music for personal enrichment. My extensive classical training prepared me to perform as soloist with the Florida Symphony, Brevard Symphony, and Orlando Philharmonic Orchestras, as well as numerous other professional concert and events throughout Florida and beyond. I have performed and taught many vocal styles from opera to Broadway, including belt and popular. My musical interests span all genres of music, including popular, Broadway, new age and contemporary. I currently perform at Walt Disney World, have performed shows at SeaWorld, Universal and Busch Gardens, and I have toured with artists such as Celtic Woman, the Chieftains, Johnny Matthis, Josh Groban, Debbie Reynolds, Clay Aiken, Connie Francis, Kansas and Video Games Live. I am a member of FFMC, SMMC (Lake District President), American Harp Society, ASCAP, Central Florida Musicians Association Local 389, and American Federation of Musicians.
