We hired Jon for our 5 yr olds birthday party on June 18th. He was AMAZING, and extremely professional! I knew he was the right person after our initial phone call. I received nothing but compliments about his performance from everyone, which says a lot. He also makes balloons, and hskills are incredible! These are not your normal dog or sword balloons. I still have the balloon he made me. =) I would highly recommend him to anyone. He's worth every penny! So if you're in the market for magic and comedy - then hes your guy! I couldn't wait to write this review.

Jon did a fantastic show at our fall party!! He had a captive audience of both children and adults! He was flexible with our makeshift setup under a tent due to the relentless rain. And his balloon animals were a huge hit!! We look forward to hiring him again in the future!

Jon Cap’s Magic show was wonderful! He is a very professional person to work with. Because he is a teacher he worked very well with the kids even though they were different ages and had them engaged in his show. I would highly recommend him.

Jon entertained our neighborhood and friends in a tent in front of our home. Every Halloween we gather together with some entertainment. Jon was by far the best event we have had. Adults and kids had a great time. We highly recommend him for a fun time.

Jon put on an amazing performance! For 20 children aged 4-13 and their parents, everyone was entertained. His act was a great mix of magic and comedy. He was easy to get in touch with and had a great set up for taking pictures. I would highly recommend him.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Package 1: This package includes a full 45 minute magic show. The show is fast paced and incorporates the guest of honor along with many members of the audience as assistants. There is music in the show, and depending on the venue, a PA system will be used, along with a backdrop. Check out joncapmagic.com or Facebook.com/joncap for some dynamic pictures from previous shows. OR 1 hour of Balloon Scuplting*: A sure hit to bring smiles to everyone. Jon Cap makes the balloons right in front of your guests. Jon can make everything from dogs to teddy bears holding a heart to more elaborate sculptures and everything in between. This is great for boys and girls of all ages; everyone has a souvenir to bring home to remember your event! *Additional hours can be purchased depending on the amount of people and venue. Package 2: This package includes the full 45 minute show with everything listed in package 1. This also includes balloons for all of the kids at the birthday party or event up to 25 kids. Package 3: This package includes everything listed in Package 2 plus a levitation effect in the magic show.** It also includes a short magic lesson where the kids will learn how to do simple magic effects with everyday house hold objects. **The levitation effect depends on the weight of child and their comfort with the illusion. Goody bags can be added to any package at an additional cost. These include a Jon Cap Magic & Comedy magic kit which contain two magic effects, as well as candy. Jon Cap will also teach the kids how to do the effects.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing magic most of my life. I attended college for education and I am a full time certified teacher in Connecticut.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved magic growing up and it evolved into a successful business. After receiving a magic kit at a young age I continued to love it and started doing and learning more magic.
