Introduction: I graduated from the University of Kansas with a BFA in illustration in the School of Architecture, Design, and Planning. I am very passionate about digital painting, stencil art and skateboarding. I have been skateboarding since I was 6 years old, and it has taught me a lot about the positives of having determination to achieve the impossible, commitment to stay and see every project to the best it can be and how people can connect and collaborate.
I am often described as hardworking and is easy to work with. I like taking progressive ideas and create dynamic images in the most efficient way without sacrificing the integrity of the design. I do my best to surround myself with people who are equally as passionate about their work and understand the needs of progression that happen when taking on big projects.
I have a passion for the traditional arts such as oil/acrylic paint, colored pencil, graphite, charcoal, and various printmaking techniques, but after my time at the University of Kansas, I became more aware of the progression that digital painting has made. So taking these ideas, I have learned a lot into digital mediums such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Autodesk and Microsoft Office software.
My brother and I have joined up to bring these two passions together with a small artistry skateboard company known as catSpray Griptape. We make spray paint stencil art for griptape (the top of a skateboard). The stencils are based on some of my personal designs as well as custom work as requested.
