FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a very talented wedding photographer. I actually grew up being his "second shooter" at weddings. I can remember being 6 or 7 and up in the balcony of a church. When he would touch his nose I would click the extended shutter release. Since the camera was on a tripod, I couldn't reach the the actual button to click the photograph. I was able to develop film when I was in elementary school and we had a dark room right in our house. Of course, in the age of digital those skills aren't useful anymore, but it is a pretty cool party trick!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I most commonly photograph family, child, maternity, newborn and boudoir sessions.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to hire a photographer who produces consistent work. Look for images that are in focus and not too dark or too light. Look for images that do not have special filters used on them. In 15 years, these special filters will look incredibly dated.
