Professionalism All of our locksmiths are licensed and background checked, meaning they have attended and graduated from a locksmith school, passed a character and competency interview with one of our locksmith technicians, and they do not have a criminal record. This is, surprisingly, in contrast to many NYC locksmith companies, which employ unlicensed locksmiths, or worse, sketchy characters. Our professionalism also means that we will guarantee your price before we show up, provided you can submit pictures of your locks to us, and we will never drill your lock unless we absolutely have to. 2. Price The low price we quote is the low price you pay. Our rates are literally the most competitive in the city for licensed locksmiths. It is common to see advertisements of too-good-to-be-true locksmith prices in the city, and usually the prices are too good to be true. It is common for locksmiths to advertise their low service call price as their price, and then charge the service call price plus the service charge (e.g. opening a locked door, installing a lock, etc.). This bait-and-switch tactic is very common. 3. Convenience LockedOut is unique and innovative, and different than other locksmith services because we have an app through which you can source your LockedOut locksmith for a job that is called LockedOut. LockedOut is available on the iPhone App Store. This app is primarily targeted towards emergency lockouts. You can also request jobs through our web form (listed as our web page), through Thumbtack, or through our phone. One of our locksmiths says, "every job is different," and that "the satisfaction of the customer" makes him happy. Many of the LockedOut employees perform different tasks--some are locksmith technicians, some are software developers, and some are business managers. We have a diverse team that does different things every day and within each day.
